Here are some photos of my friend which I shot and styled. I really like the overall look of skate wear as I think it looks fresh and urban. I find it fascinating how skate wear comes from a sport/skill of an individual and has now developed into what some people see as a 'cool' style. There are many popular skate brands such as Thrasher, Palace, Vans and Dickies. I notice a lot of skate wear being baggy, as well as soft due to comfort for the sport. I find the over all look of baggy clothing quite liberating and empowering, as it is different to what is seen as 'cool', especially for females.
To present my photos, I created a mood board using different textured backgrounds with my photos on. I used pink and yellow to tie the clothing and background together, making the colours really stand out. I like the way the final outcome has turned out, as it could also be used for a magazine spread, due to the layout.
